A total of 20 high-end projects in the modern service industry worth a total of 4 billion yuan ($579.57 million) were signed into effect in the Xiamen Area of China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) on May 20.

Xiamen FTZ has formed a global one-stop aviation maintenance base and attracted three aviation service projects – a project of Xiamen Airlines' investment operation center, an aircraft leasing project, and a passenger to freighter conversion project.

Integrated circuit (IC) industry is a strategic emerging industry in Xiamen, and five IC industry service platforms will be set up in Xiamen FTZ.

In recent years, the area has been focusing on the research and development of IC, optimizing the related policy environment, and providing public services for the whole industrial chain.

Other signed projects were involved in many of Xiamen's key development areas, including medical and health care, cross-border e-commerce, financial services and talent introduction.
