The track-laying for Xiamen Metro Line 2 successfully finished on May 13. The line is expected to open for trial operation before the end of this year, according to an official announcement.

The total length of the new metro line is 41.6 kilometers, with 32 stations. The line links the Tianzhu Mountain Forest Park and Wuyuan Bay, covering some of Xiamen's most important development and construction areas such as the Cross-Strait Financial Center, the Xiamen home port development area and Haicang CBD.

An information visualization management system was used during construction, realizing effective safety management in the track-laying areas.
