Xiamen Nanyang University, formerly Nanyang College, is a full-time ordinary vocational college of higher education founded in September 2000. Covering an area of 587 mu (39 hectares), it was given the titles of "Green Campus" and "Garden-style Unit" for its charming ecological scenery. 

The school's capability in practical education ranks top among its provincial counterparts as it boasts multi-targeted and spacious buildings for scientific research and practice activities. The buildings have a total construction area of 23,000 square meters, including 107 rooms and three training centers, which can accommodate over 5,000 students conducting experiments and practices at the same time. 

The school has established partnerships with 101 institutions and companies, including three of the world's top 500 companies. It has partnered with Xiamen Smart Co to set up an incubation base at its campus for 3D-printing technology training. Students will participate in product design, research and development, production, and online-offline promotion. The base will also integrate 3D printing with costume design and production, aiming to expand the market of costume customization. 

Furthermore, Xiamen Nanyang University maintains cooperative relationships with colleges and universities from the United States, Canada, Singapore and Taiwan, and is gearing up to enhance mutual exchanges and promote Xiamen to a wider international audience.
