The deputy mayor of Nice, France led a delegation to Xiamen, East China's Fujian province on April 18 to promote practical cooperation in education, sustainable development, medical care, and artificial intelligence.

Guo Guirong, deputy mayor of Xiamen, said during a meeting with the French delegation that she is pleased to see further cooperation between Nice Sophia Antipolis University and Xiamen University and the Xiamen University of Technology.

The deputy mayor of Nice was impressed by Xiamen's beautiful environment and great humanistic atmosphere on her first visit to the city.

Nice established a sister-city relationship with Xiamen on May 22, 2014.

Located on the French Riviera between Marseilles, France, and Genoa in Italy, Nice is a major tourism destination. Much like Xiamen, it is the host city to more than 2000 events, conferences and festivals every year.
