The Xiamen International Trade Group (ITG) Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Xiamen ITG Holding Group Co Ltd, recently announced that it has become a member of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA).
Under the guidance of the Xiamen municipal government and relevant departments, MICE Group has made remarkable progress in the construction of Xiamen's new conference and exhibition center and the branding, commercialization, specialization and internationalization of Xiamen's exhibition industry since the start of this year.
MICE Group has actively cooperated with some of the most influential international organizations, including UFI (the global association of the exhibition industry), International Association of Professional Congress Organizers (IAPCO) and ICCA.
During his visit to MICE Group, Noor Ahmad Hamid, director of ICCA Asia-Pacific, showed his appreciation to the company for their efforts in promoting China’s exhibition industry.
According to Xu Xiaoxi, chairman of ITG Holding Group, the development of Xiamen's exhibition industry will boost other industries in the city such as logistics and tourism, accelerate industrial upgrading, and attract more investment.
Headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, the ICCA was founded in 1963 and has a membership network of more than 1,000 suppliers from about 90 countries in the international meetings industry.
