Maritime Silk Road sci-tech innovation alliance launched in Xiamen

An alliance for the scientific and technological innovtion along the Maritime Silk Road region was established during the Haisi Yunchuang International Silk Road Science and Technology Innovation Exchange and Cooperation Forum in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province, on April 6.
The alliance was initiated by Xiamen University National Science Park (XUNSP) together with internationally renowned universities and institutes, such as Nanjing University and the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as several global high-tech companies.
It aims to boost technological innovation and economic development in the regions along the Maritime Silk Road.
The alliance will gather companies, service intermediaries and industrial capital in the fields of big data, biomedicine, new materials and new energy to build an online innovation system featuring resource sharing, complementary advantages and industrial interconnection.
Additionally, XUNSP will provide a supporting platform for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements of colleges and universities, the incubation of high-tech enterprises, the cultivation of innovative and entrepreneurial talents, and the integration of production, education and research.
